Prior to joining Stark Company Realtors, I owned a restaurant franchise. I learned so much from my employees and customers, and I am thankful for all the experiences I have gained from over 15 years of business ownership.  I am extremely proud of offering my customers service that exceeded their expectations and loved being able to interact with people in the many ways a business owner must. It was for these reasons that I had my sights set on being a business owner in the first place.  

I think that my dad played a large part in my entrepreneurial aspirations.  But more than that, he helped form my core value of honesty no matter the situation. In his career as an accountant I saw him build strong relationships with his clients through hard work and complete authenticity in his actions--so  much so that clients felt confident in referring him to friends and family. All of that resonated with me. I knew that this way of conducting business was mine as well, and it showed in my career as a business owner. I built trust in the many relationships I cultivated and feel there is nothing more valuable.

While I felt successful in and enjoyed my time as a business owner, I was ready for something new.  Stark Company Realtors, as a family-owned company for over 100 years, offered me that next step in my career; but, more importantly, it melded with my values as a person and as a professional. *Ken grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, but don’t let his Bears, White Sox, Bulls, and Illini fandom sway you (or do, based on your own sports bias), as he is an avid sports fan in general and is always willing to talk sports with all fans! If he isn’t running fantasy leagues, playing softball, coaching his kids, or other such sports-related activities, you can find him spending time with his family in the Chicago area or with his in-laws up north. And, if none of those are successful, he’s probably “begrudgingly” watching The Bachelor or The Bachelorette with his wife.
